Keith (Kool-K) Wilson was born and raised in Norfolk Va. attending Norview High School where he was an accomplished Tuba player. Graduating from Norview High School in 1978, going on to attend Elizabeth City State University on a Music Scholarship.
Performing with the Elizabeth City State University Marching Viking Band on TUBA, becoming Section Leader in his sophmore year. As a Self-Taught Saxophonist in his late twenties, Mr. Wilson spent countless hours on his craft with the out come after over fourty year on the grind , Mr. Wilson has developed a Unique sound around performing the voice of a tune. Improvising over and around the melody, creating wonderful solos his audience loves. Performing in the Washington DC area Mr. Wilson has displayed his talent at well-known venues such as Blues Alley, The Bethesda Blues and Jazz Supper Club, Port Towns Day Festival in Bladensburg MD where “Kool-K and the Band were the head lining Act for the Festival for Many years.
With the Release of his first single working with one of the Top Producers in Detroit Micigan, Mr Jeff Canaday. Mr. Wilson released the single Must Be Love June 6th, 2022, and was picked up to begin a 6 week Marketing Campaign with one of the Top Smooth Jazz marketing companies in the industry GOROV Music Marketing. Debuting on the Smooth Jazz Top 100 at 97 and within a five-week period rose to 51 on the charts. This chart rating has propelled Mr. Wilson to International Recording Artist Status. His music is being played on radio platforms all over the world.
